OhioLINK consortium receives funding to modernize its shared library management system

An Integrated Library System (ILS) is the backbone of library operations and used to manage circulation, acquisitions, and cataloging, as well as to generate the underlying data that drives library business decisions and reporting. OhioLINK will leverage cooperative purchasing power and shared technical expertise to cover the cost of the software and the migration process for its member institutions.

Wiley and OhioLINK Sign Agreement to Publish More Open Access Research

March 9, 2022 – Hoboken, NJ Global research and education leader Wiley today announced a new two-year agreement with OhioLINK, a statewide academic library consortium for the State of Ohio in the U.S.  This agreement builds on an open access pilot both institutions completed in 2020, and furthers their joint commitment to making more peer-reviewed research available to readers across the globe.

OhioLINK grants to help Ohio higher education faculty make the switch to no-cost course materials

“While many faculty are interested in making the switch from traditional textbooks, there is a learning curve associated with understanding no-cost options and then adapting their curriculum with alternative materials,” said OhioLINK Director of Affordable Learning Anna Bendo. “OhioLINK’s program acknowledges that required investment of time and provides additional support.”

OhioLINK and Cambridge University Press announce “read & publish” agreement

Students, faculty, and staff at OhioLINK institutions that participate in its Electronic Journal Center (EJC) will have access to current research from all Cambridge University Press journals. Authors at member institutions will be able to publish an unlimited number of open-access articles in eligible Cambridge journals. This is the first "read & publish" deal OhioLINK has implemented at a consortial level to offer open access publishing benefits to its member institutions.
