LSP Migration

  • Rapido training has started for some libraries. These trainings will align with go-live waves. Rapido is the tool that will replace INN-Reach lending (PCIRC) in Alma/ Primo.
  • OhioLINK has posted two short demonstration videos for Alma essentials in a LSP Micro-Learning playlist. We will try to post one short recording a week on the Ostaff webinars page for the remainder of the year.

Searching in Alma and Working with Sets of Records, Dec 10, 1:30PM

Please register for the 1-hour LSP Reporting and Analytics Working Group open session, “Searching in Alma and Working with Sets of Records,­ a great opportunity to hear what others are learning, including features you can begin exploring now and Q&A. The session will cover an introduction to basic and advanced searching in Alma, a quick overview of features with a focus on helpful tips, and then touch on how searches can connect to Alma Sets and Jobs, functionality similar to Sierra's Create Lists and Global/Rapid Update features. This Webex will be recorded and posted to Ostaff.

Getting Everyone on Board the Alma Train: Engaging and Training Staff, Dec 17, at 11AM

Please register for this 1-hour LSP Training and Documentation Working Group open session. The panel discussion will invite audience participation to crowdsource ideas about techniques for creating positive engagement with Alma and Primo, and training approaches to making learning this new system manageable for staff. Come to hear and share ideas about how institutions are getting ready for Day One, Week One, and Month One of go-live. This Webex will be recorded and posted to Ostaff.

New Resource: Sage Skills available now through trial

On January 1, 2025, OhioLINK will be adding a new resource to support students’ academic and business skills. Students and faculty can navigate thousands of fundamental skills presented through written material, interactive scenarios, self-assessments, downloadable datasets, worksheets, and video. Workplace-readiness focused Sage Skills: Business and academic focused Sage Skills: Student Success are currently available via trial through OhioLINK’s Research Databases list. You can find FAQs for librarians (with Ostaff login) and FAQs for faculty (no login needed) on Ostaff. An earlier webinar is available on Ostaff.

Learn about GOBI assistance during migration, Dec 17

Carol Seiler, Account Services Manager for Library Technical Services at GOBI, will provide an overview of the assistance GOBI can provide before, during, and after your migration to Alma. Topics will include common workflows with Alma, an overview of services available to OhioLINK members, and best practices for your migration. Questions are welcome. This session will be recorded.
