What is OhioLINK?
OhioLINK, part of the Ohio Department of Higher Education, is Ohio’s academic library consortium. Easy, fast access to a vast amount of scholarly material has made Ohio’s higher ed library system the envy of academics across the country and OhioLINK one of the most respected library consortia.
If you are looking for an article or book, chances are that you can get it through OhioLINK. OhioLINK cost-effectively acquires and maintains shared electronic library resources for its members--more than 37 million digital journal articles, more than 241,000 electronic books, and more than 100 databases. It also funds and manages Ohio’s inter-library loan program from a shared catalog of 38 million books and printed items. OhioLINK also has negotiated five agreements with publishers that allow corresponding authors at OhioLINK institutions to publish open access at no cost to the authors or additional cost to their institutions. What is Sage Skills?
OhioLINK was awarded state capital funds to provide a new interactive resource to foster skills that students will need for success in their academic careers and beyond. This purchase will include two sections: workplace-readiness focused Sage Skills: Business and academic focused Sage Skills: Student Success.
Sage Skills resources are integrated with a number of multimedia content to better engage students, including interactive scenarios, self-assessments, downloadable datasets and worksheets, and original videos. These tools combined with authoritative written material create a scholarly environment where students and faculty can independently navigate thousands of skills that will aid them in their academic and future careers.
Sage Skills is available now through trial access. You can access it in OhioLINK’s Research Databases list. The official contract start will be January 1, 2025. Sage Business Skills and Sage Skills: Student Success will be available with perpetual access and are ideal for integrating into courses.

Sage will hold webinars December 3 and 5 to introduce these new OhioLINK resources to faculty and others on campus. Registration is required. These sessions will be recorded.

Do these resources include an LMS integration?
LMS integration is available for both modules for the following platforms: Blackboard, Canvas, D2L, and Moodle (1.1 or 1.3). Set up does need to be completed by each individual institution. Please reach out to your library for more information about getting started.
