Purpose
This document delineates the recommended minimum guidelines for digital accessibility of an electronic theses/dissertations (ETD) document in the PDF format to be published in the OhioLINK ETD Center. This recommendation is, it should be strongly noted, truly minimum.
Recommended Practice
OhioLINK strongly urges every member institution participating in the OhioLINK ETD Center to adopt local minimum guidelines for digital accessibility for the ETDs submitted from your institution.
Recommended Minimum Guidelines for ETD PDFs in the OhioLINK ETD Center
- PDF file includes full text
- PDF accessibility permission flag is checked
- Text language of the PDF is specified
- Figures and images include alternative text
- PDF includes a title
