The OhioLINK Digital Resource Commons (DRC) was taken offline on August 31, 2021. The platform had become outdated and was no longer being actively updated with new content. As such, the OhioLINK community made the difficult decision to remove it from the Web. The DRC was a high profile, award winning project for its time and we are grateful to all of the OhioLINK community who contributed to its success.
What was the DRC?
The DRC was a digital repository of image and video content hosted by OhioLINK. The technology behind the DRC was customized D-Space software. It was launched in 2008 and incorporated purchased videos formerly hosted at OhioLINK’s Digital Media Center (DMC). The DRC also acted as an institutional repository for member institutions, who could create their own DRC instances and contribute their digital collections. In 2013, the institution instances of the DRC were decommissioned, leaving only OhioLINK’s central instance.
Where is the content now?
OhioLINK will return contributed content to the owning institutions by or before December 2021. If you are looking for a collection or item that was in the DRC, a list of contibuted content is below. The list includes links to the collection if it is available online and to the institution's web site if the collection is not available online. You should contact the library directly to get more information about the collection.
